Dear Parents and Carers,
I am writing to introduce myself as the new Chair of Governors at Blue Coat (CofE) Junior School. My name is Ian Hoult and I have been part of the governing body since 2015 when I was appointed as a Foundation Governor.
I would like to thank Michael Banks firstly as outgoing chair for the great service to the school as Governor and also Chair of Governors over a period of 14years, thank you Michael.
In my job I work for Durham County Council leading a range of services here in Durham. My wife and I live here in Durham with our two children with the youngest still being at Blue Coat’s.
As Governors we also share a common objective which is the wider school community – working in partnership with you as parents and carers and staff to ensure that every child can succeed and reach their full potential. That is why as Governors we work closely with Mrs Grieve and Staff to ensure that we continue to deliver a high standards of education to the children at Blue Coat’s.
All relevant information is included on the School’s Website. Please remember that the website is a good way of keeping up to date with all aspects of school life.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the coming months and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and to ensure you that I am committed and very proud of our School and I will continue working with Mrs Grieve and her Staff Team, Governors, Parents and Pupils as we all together strive to make Blue Coat’s the best it can be for each and every child.
With best wishes
Chair of Governors
