Collective Worship

At Durham Blue Coat CE Junior School, we are a school with a strong Christian ethos where all children are welcomed, valued, happy, well-supported and enthusiastic learners.

 

We aim to develop personal values through the teachings of the Christian faith and an understanding and respect for other people’s beliefs and cultures.

 

Worshipping together is a central part of school life. The whole school joins together daily to share inspirational messages, sing songs and offer prayers.

 

All teachers take it in turns to deliver worship to the whole school.  Every Thursday, Reverend Caroline Dick from All Saints Church attends school to deliver worship. 

 

Collective Worship is an important time for all of us to gather together to learn, worship and grow in our understanding of God and of ourselves.
