At our school, the vision "With God all things are possible” is the heartbeat of our community, empowering students to believe in their God-given potential. While academic excellence is nurtured in the classroom, our extra-curricular clubs serve as the vital training ground where students actively live out this faith, discovering that with wisdom and courage they can achieve what seems impossible bringing them immense joy.

Students can choose to attend Blue Coat University after school as part of our extra-curricular provision. Our provision changes termly, focussing on different curriculum areas. The premise behind Blue Coat University is to create possibilities and open children’s minds to different careers.

We believe God has uniquely gifted every student with specific talents. Our clubs are designed to be safe spaces where students can explore these gifts without fear of failure.

Some examples of our clubs are:

• We are Athletes (Sports Club) - Through sports, children learn that while human strength has limits, trusting in God's power allows them to persevere through challenges, run without growing weary, and achieve personal bests.
• We are Performers (Performing Arts) - Students who once feared public speaking or performing find their voice and courage, realising that with God’s strengthening, they can share their talents confidently.
• We are Explorers (Nature Club) - Students explore the wonders of God's creation and use their ingenuity to tackle environmental "impossibilities," such as sustainability initiatives, reinforcing the idea that they can make a difference
• We are Artists (Art Club) - For many students, a blank page can feel like an "impossible" starting point. Our club teaches that with patience and divine inspiration, something beautiful can emerge from nothing. This mirrors the belief that God can bring purpose and beauty out of any situation in our lives. Whether sketching the intricate details of a leaf or painting a vast sunset, students use art to connect with the world God created. By observing the "impossible" beauty of nature, they are reminded of the limitlessness of God’s power and the many ways His handiwork is visible in their own lives.

Through these clubs, our children are not just learning skills; they are learning to:

• Have the Courage to believe in themselves as unique, valuable creations.
• Have Wisdom to aspire to high goals, knowing that God can work wonders.
• And gain Joy from succeeding by turning challenges into opportunities for growth.

Our aims in delivering Blue Coat University are that all children will:-

• Extend possibilities - further increasing their knowledge about careers;
• Experience different places;
• Work with experts;
• Create links with other curriculum areas to deepen the learning experience;
• Be creators;
• Create high quality work to celebrate with the community;
• Present their learning/work/journey to external audiences - developing Oracy;
• Experience project based learning - critiquing work.
