At Blue Coat we have high aspirations for all our pupils, not least those identified as SEND. Progress is monitored closely through half-termly pupil progress meetings with staff, when provision and teaching strategies are discussed.
A range and teaching and learning styles are incorporated into day-to-day teaching, and pupils have access to a wide range of resources and differentiated work. Additional support is offered both in and out of class, according to need, and flexible groupings are encouraged.
Our newly-developed curriculum offers a creative approach to teaching and learning, and our wide-ranging extra-curricular activities provide a practical extension to the learning experience.
Rewards and sanctions are very much part of our philosophy at Blue Coat. These are used in accordance with our behaviour policy.
