Welcome to Durham Blue Coat C of E (Aided) Junior School
I hope you find this website helpful in finding out what we are all about at Blue Coat C of E Juniors. Pupils at Blue Coat thrive because our school has amazing spirit, where people really care and support each other.
We have a wealth of teaching expertise, celebrate the Arts and enjoy competing at a high level in many sports. We have fantastic children and a super environment and we intend to build on all of these strengths whilst continuing to develop teaching and learning within the school.
We expect pupils to work hard but also to enjoy their time with us. Our new curriculum provides the opportunity to increase creativity and challenge pupils further by encouraging them to take risks in their learning. By the time students leave us, we expect them to be independent learners, who are motivated and inspired to learn more.
Pupil voice and parent partnership play an integral role in developing the school further. Pupils are able to achieve amazing results when they have the support of the staff, their peers and you as parents. If we all work together, the pupils can achieve more than they ever dreamed. Our children deserve the best so we will continually strive for excellence, to give all pupils the confidence to achieve their full potential.
We look forward to working together with you to ensure that we provide the high quality education that is synonymous with Blue Coat Junior C of E (Aided) Junior School.
