Durham County Council has a funding formula that is applied to all schools across the county to determine their specific SEN funding.

At Blue Coat we provide SEND support in a variety of ways as outlined above.

A large part of this support is through the work of Teaching Assistants whose work is rigorously timetabled.

As you can imagine, the cost to our budget to fund our support staff is a substantial figure and this represents only a minor part of the funds allocated over a school year in respect of supporting pupils with SEND.
